TRADITIONAL rulers in five local government areas in Ogbomoso axis-Ogbomoso North, Ogbomoso South, Olorunsogo, Oriire and Ogo-Oluwa, have called on the gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State, Seyi Makinde to help treasure LAUTECH as it is the only economic livewire of the axis.
This jointly became the requests of the traditional rulers as the campaign team of PDP candidate combed the nooks and crannies of the areas.
Though there were other requests such as massive road rehabilitation, electrification and education restructuring.
This position was technically voiced on Friday morning by the Olubere of Ibere, Chief Samuel Adetunji Adetayo when the PDP campaign tram visited him and other traditional rulers in the axis in his palace.

Amen n the campaign team is the deputy gubernatorial candidate, Raufu Olaniyan, his wife, Omini, PDP state chairman, Alhaji Kunmi Mustapha, his secretary, Alhaji Wasiu Adeleke, Director General of the campaign tram, Chief Bayo Lawal, Alhaja Bose Adedibu, Bayo Okeyode, Honourable Mulikat Akande-Adeola among others.
Chief Adetayo said “Makinde has created awareness in 2015, that means you’re ready to be governor this time around. For those whom you have helped, their hearts will surely pray for you.
“Let me tell you the truth, things have gone from bad to worse, so when you get there, tighten your seat belt very well because you have to put smiles on peoples faces.
” Here in these five local government areas, LAUTECH is our factory, our industry and our company. If LAUTECH collapses, the whole five local government collapse and all the town has collapsed. ”
Chief Adetayo also urged Makinde and PDP as a party to establish an ultra modern market that will give the farmers and other local business people in the community to do their business, while appealing to him to also consider some traditional rulers who are due for a promotion.
While speaking, Makinde promises to rule with the fear of God assuring that he will not deceive the people of the state.
“Our government when you vote us into power will not short change you. I promise to govern with the fear of God.
” As I have reiterated, we will remodel LAUTECH to the admiration of every stakeholder in the education sector. I have personally met with the stakeholders; students and lecturers.
“Let’s see beyond Makinde as the governor of the state. It is a movement. So, let’s make it a movement, if we can vote for all candidates of PDP en masse, it will be difficult for them to rig the public decision. There won’t be favouritism in allocating dividends of democracy to the people in our administration.”
