OYO State African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship candidate, Senator Olufemi Lanlehin, has promised even development for all towns and cities that make up the state, irrespective of whether such towns are located in Ibadan, the capital, or hinterland.

Lanlehin, whose campaign tour kicked off in Iganna, moved to Iwere-Ile, and then Ijio, before coursing through Ilero, in Kajola Local Government Area, said it was in the interest of equity and social justice to spread development to all the parts of the state.

Lanlehin, while addressing a large crowd of party faithful and supporters, promised the people of the state “life abundant, shared prosperity, and a government that prioritises people’s welfare.”

“Our government shall ensure its top agenda is human capital development, and the promotion of our people’s welfare,” Lanlehin told a crowd at Iwere-Ile, headquarters of Iwajowa Local Government Area of the state.

Accompanied on the campaign trail by Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja, who is a former deputy governor of the state; Senator Gbenga Babalola, and Chief Lowo Obisesan, Lanlehin itemised the core priorities of his government to include free, qualitative education, agricultural revolution through the reinstatement of farm settlements fitted with modern equipment to encourage youths.

He also assured the people of the visited towns and cities that his government would see to the resuscitation of the primary healthcare centres and the general hospitals across the state as well as motivate the healthcare givers to deliver quality service to the people.

“Cottage industries will be established near the farm settlements to ensure farm produce are transformed into finished goods, juice and other edibles. This will not only ensure we maximise our harvest, but also guarantee employment to our teeming youths,” Lanlehin said.

Also on Lanlehin’s entourage was Chief Bayo Lawal, Oyo North Senatorial candidate of ADC; Honourable Abiodun Olasupo, member representing Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Kajola/Iwajowa Federal Constituency, and Honourable Tajudeen Olori, Iwajowa State Constituency candidate.

Presenting candidates from that axis to the people, Lanlehin urged them to vote ADC in all elections, to ensure rapid transformation of the state, as the ADC, according to him, “is peopled by men of character, and integrity, whose love for the people, is unparalleled,” Lanlehin said, reminding them that only the “handshake” party can truly transform the state.

Also on the campaign team was Oyo State ADC chairman, Alh (Dr) Ahmed Ayinla, and Secretary, Alhaji Wasiu Emiola, among others.
