Lagos: Thousands gather for worship experience at The Rock Cathedral

The Rock Cathedral in Lekki, Lagos, played host to a powerful worship experience as internationally renowned worship leader Chandler Moore shared the stage with some of Nigeria’s most beloved gospel artistes.

The event, organized by the House on the Rock Church and hosted by its founder, Pastor Paul Adefarasin, drew an eager crowd seeking an experience that would resonate profoundly. It offered more than just melodies; it left a lasting impact on the soul.

Gospel ministers who uplifted the audience at the praise concert included Sinach, Moses Bliss, Preye Odede, Eno Michael, Adeyinka Alaseyori, and Precious Emmanuel.

Each minister showcased their unique sound and expression of worship, ranging from the vibrant energy of “Miracle No Dey Tire Jesus” by Moses Bliss to the deeply spiritual Yoruba psalms of Adeyinka Alaseyori.

Chandler Moore, best known for his work with Maverick City Music, led a rich and reverent session that built up to a spontaneous live recording with Moses Bliss of a new song titled “Your Love,” which evoked raw emotion from the audience.

In his brief yet impactful message, Pastor Paul Adefarasin emphasized the importance of spiritual discernment in today’s world, drawing from the story of Abraham’s test on Mount Moriah.

“Abraham obeyed the voice of God when instructed to take Isaac up the mountain to sacrifice him,” Adefarasin said.

“However, if Abraham had not discerned what God was saying at that moment, he would have sacrificed a promise that was never meant to die at that time. The instruction had changed.

“What God had originally commanded was different from what He was communicating in the new moment. Religion follows what God said, but a relationship with God responds to what He is saying now.” (Rev 3:13 NLT)

The powerful reminder invited listeners into a deeper and more dynamic faith journey—one that involves hearing, discerning, and obeying God’s voice in real-time.

The event was more than just a concert; it was a worship encounter that reminded everyone in attendance of the beauty and transformative power of God’s presence. Although the music may have faded, its impact continues to resonate.
