Kwara govt will ensure development in all ramifications ― Deputy Gov

THE Kwara State government has restated its determination to ensure the development of the state in all ramifications.

The State Deputy Governor, Mr Kayode Alabi disclosed this on Sunday while speaking at this year’s Convention of ECWA Fate/Tanke District Church Council, Ilorin.

Alabi noted that the coming of the new government would bring new hope and new development for the people as the state has been thrown into darkness by the previous administrations.

The Deputy Governor emphasised that the birth of all the evil acts happening around the country is as a result of social injustice.

He stressed that the gap between the rich and the poor must be bridged and it can only happen through empathy, “a leader does not require a PhD or Bsc but empathy.

“When there is no love, there won’t be peace,” the deputy governor added.

Alabi implored the Church to pray harder as the perpetrators of evil acts cannot be defeated without involving the Spirit of God.

He stressed the need for the spirit of giving and that the Christian community should have that spirit.

He stated that the only way to develop Kwara is for the politicians to love the people and shun any social injustice.

On education, he said the rich and the poor must be able to co-habit and send their ward to the same school, promising that the present administration would fix schools to meet current reality.

He urged the people to be united irrespective of their faith.

In his remarks, Rev. Philip Owoeye emphasised the need for the people to love themselves and pray for the government.

He called on Christians to allow for a new dawn in their life, stating that there is always a new opportunity in everything.
