Kogi State government has earmarked N15.7b for road development across the state.
The state government also revealed plans to inject the sum of N5.4b into developing social housing scheme for civil servants and urban development in the state.
Special Adviser to Governor Bello on Finance and Economic Planning, Asiwaju Idris announced this at the Government House, Lokoja during the break down of the 2020 budget named, ‘Budget of prosperity’.
Ashiru pointed out that five hundred kilometres of roads in the rural communities would also be rehabilitated before the end of the first quarter of the year.

On housing, the Special Adviser on Finance explained that part of the N5.4b set aside for housing and urban development would be invested in the construction of three bedroom bungalows of one thousand houses for the state civil servants to enhance productivity.
Asiwaju, who was the immediate commissioner for finance and economic development in the state, reiterated the determination of government in ensuring full implementation of its total budget estimates.
In his contribution, Special Adviser on Information and Communication to governor Bello, Evangelist Kingsley Fanwo, expressed optimism in the capacity of the administration to ensuring the optimal realisation of the budget objectives and building a state that is inclusive, peaceful, united and prosperous.
