THE Minister of state for labour and productivity, Stephen Ocheni, on Thursday, said “massive” crowd that attended the presidential campaign of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi state was a pointer that there was no alternative to the reelection of President Muhammadu Buhari.
He said Buhari remained the only person that could sustain Nigeria and should be allowed to continue in office.
The minister, who spoke with newsmen in Lokoja, the Kogi state capital, said the APC remained the party to beat in the coming election.

According to him, the chances of the party in Kogi were bright and it was evident that the people were in support of the programmes and policies of the Buhari led administration.
Ocheni said, “The chances of APC in Kogi state are bright and undoubtedly from what you saw in terms of the massive crowd at the Stadium. You can see the mobilisation, the Governor made it clear that even with a phone call the stadium would have not been able to contain the crowd if we had up to one week notice.
“There is no doubt in Kogi State as to the victory of APC and there is no alternative to the APC and the reelection of our President Muhammadu Buhari. All these are evident in the massive turn out yesterday. He is the only man that can sustain this country. His name is synonimous with the unity of our dear country.
“You can see all this from the policies of the Federal Government itself. He has told us severally that he is ready to continue in the same direction by moving Nigeria to the next level so there is no doubt in the ability of Kogi State to return our President. The crowd you saw is half of what you would have seen if we had two to four days notice”.
The minister however appealed to the people of Kogi State to embrace the part of progress and vote for candidates that could move this country forward.
He said, “The only candidate who can move our country forward to the next level is President Muhammadu Buhari.
People should turn out en masse and vote massively come February 16.
There is no doubt about this, I am very much convinced because I am part of this community, I am from this state and we are all for Buhari. A vote for him is a vote for the political integrity of this country, a vote for the economic advancement of this country and a vote for the future of Nigeria”.
