Gwarzo Local Government Council in its commitment to improve education sector in the area has constructed over 20 new classrooms and renovated more than 30 existing ones.
The interim Management committee chairman Dr Mani Tsoho disclosed this during a distribution of offers of appointment to 70 newly recruited teachers under Basic Education Service Delivery for All (BESDA) programme at Gwarzo Islamic Center.
He said that this investment in educational infrastructure is a key aspect of the council’s strategy to enhance the quality of education. This effort aligns with the state government’s declaration of a state of emergency in the education sector by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.
He however added that the newly constructed classrooms have been equipped with essential furniture, including chairs and tables.
However, Dr. Tsoho emphasised the need for parental support to complement the government’s efforts in improving the education sector.

The statement stated that some of the beneficiary schools and communities are: Salihawa Tsaunin Fulani Primary School, Rumawa Primary School, Getso Primary School, and Unguwar Tudu Primary School, amongst others.
While speaking separately education secretary Gwarzo local government Alh. Ashiru Kutama and Director of Personnel Management Ubale Magaji urged teachers to double their efforts to attract parents’ attention.
In his remark district head of Gwarzo Alh.Shehu Kabiru Bayero commends Dr Mani for a giant stride in improving education in the area in just five months in office.
