The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board (KSPWB) has directed intending pilgrims for the 2024 pilgrimage from eight local government areas of the state to proceed for their compulsory medical tests and inoculations.
The Director-General of the Board, Alh. Lawinu Rabiu, gave the notice while addressing the press on the level of preparation for this year’s Hajj.
According to him, the intending pilgrims directed to proceed for the medical tests beginning from Monday, April 29th, include those from Dala local government area.
Those from Fagge, Gwale, Ungogo, Municipal, Nassarawa, Tarauni, and Kumbotso will conduct medicals between Tuesday, April 30th, and May 6th respectively.
He added that the medical checks are requisites required to ascertain the health condition of intending pilgrims before embarking on the spiritual exercise in Saudi Arabia.
Alh. Rabiu then disclosed that the dynamics of the 2024 exercise have placed stakeholders on high expectations, added that Kano state is finalizing necessary requirements in line with the directives from the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).

He further disclosed that the board is working tirelessly to meet all requirements for capturing state intending pilgrims on e-track for issuance of visas as well as the newly introduced pilgrims’ grouping system.
He, however, expressed concern over some registered pilgrims who have not yet submitted their international passports to the board for visa processing, adding that such categories should do so to avoid losing the opportunity.
He hinted that a daily enlightenment program for intending pilgrims will commence in due course to prepare the minds of Kano contingents on the dos and don’ts at the holy land.
