Earlier, a petition was brought before the tribunal by Hon David Tanko Sarki of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), challenging the 12th May 2018 local government election that brought the Hon Nasara Rabo of the All Progressives Congress (APC), as Kagarko local government Chairman.
Delivery his judgement on Friday, the tribunal chairman, Justice A.Y Musa and by a unanimous decision of the tribunal members, dismissed the petition for lack of merit and declared Hon. Rabo as duly elected chairman of Kagarko local government area.

Speaking on the judgement, Rabo commended the judiciary for upholding the provisions of the constitution and the electoral act, by dismissing the petition for lack of merit.
He said the judiciary has further proven that the judiciary is not a tool in the hands of self-seeking politicians.
He commended his contender for approaching the tribunal to seek for justice instead of fomenting trouble in the Local government.
He further extended hands of fellowship to him to bring his wealth of experience to the table as he works towards making Kagarko Local Government great again.
He also commended his legal team led by Barr. Auta Maisamari for the extensive research he made to ensure that the mandate freely given to him by the people of Kagarko is upheld. He prayed God to continue to make him stand out in his profession.
