A new Commissioner of Police has been appointed for the Lagos State Command after the promotion of the last commissioner in the state, Zubairu Muazu to the post of the Assistant Inspector General Of Police.
The new commissioner of police is Hakeem Olusegun Odumosu. He was a former commander of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS).

The signal for the deployment of Odumosu to Lagos as the commissioner was on Thursday released at the force headquarters in Abuja.
Odumosu, until his appointment as the commissioner of police in Lagos State, was a member of the Presidential Task Force on the Apapa gridlock.
