Three persons have been confirmed unconscious after being rescued from a boat mishap at Ebrohimi near Koko in Warri North Local Government Area of Delta State late Saturday evening.
A source from Warri North told Tribune Online in Warri on Sunday that about 22 persons, mainly security personnel, were involved in the boat mishap while returning after the election exercise on Saturday.
The boat involved in the mishap was said to be a large one that ordinarily conveys a maximum of 25 passengers.
No INEC official was involved in the mishap, but security personnel who were said to be in life jackets and were headed from Ebrohimi Ward 3 near Koko in Warri North.

It was also gathered that the security officials were not in the ill-fated journey with any INEC official or election materials as of the time of filing the report.
The three victims said to be unconscious, the source said, after they were rescued were rushed the Delta State Teaching Hospital at Oghara for medical attention.
No death has been reportedly recorded as of the time of filing this report.
Meanwhile, INEC Resident Electoral Commission (REC) in charge of Delta State, Dr Cyril Omorogbe, has said none of its regular or ad hoc staff was involved in the boat mishap in Warri North Local Government Area.
Omorogbe said “I understand that my staff members are not involved; they were all safe and the ad-hoc staff were safe.
“The actual details have got to me right now. And I don’t think the mishap affected the materials because it happened later in the day, from what I know.”
