Gospel reggae music star, Tamunoiduabia Okoseimiema popularly known as Jesus Boy has promised to keep using his music to propagate the African culture through reggae genre.
The singer who has evolved over the years as a talented, gifted as well as anointed singer and songwriter stated that his inspiration has been backed by will and passion for winning souls for Christ Jesus which became his top most priority.
Speaking about his career, which started professionally in 1999, he noted that he and his band have won various awards including Akonaki 1995; Best Soloist (RCCG) 1998; Best Artist of the Year (CMTV) 2000; Best Artist of the Year (Sound2Soul) 2003; Face of Charity Ambassador Award 2012, Best Gospel of the Year (ODUDU AWARD) 2012 among others.
Talking about how he emerged to who he is today, he expressed that, “I grew up in Port Harcourt and I have participated in various talent hunt shows and events that have made me a house hold name in Nigeria. I have been a music coordinator and have recorded some very good gospel songs that has placed myself as well as my band in the map of Nigerian Music especially the South South Region.”
Several albums to their credit has proven how proficient they are has the group’s culturally unique music was being played and recommend across radio stations in Nigeria especially during the 2020 pandemic lockdown.
With performances across several cities in Nigeria, some African countries, performances at the University of Portsmouth and Brighton University in the UK they have strongly pushed the African culture and music largely with reggae as the core music.
