Nigeria Union of Journalists (NU) Niger State Council has felicitated with all female journalists around the globe to mark the International Women’s Day today.
In a message to commemorate the day, the State Chairman of the NUJ, Comrade Abu Nmodu said there is no better time to celebrate our female journalists than now.
In view of this, Nmodu in a statement issued by the Council through the office of the Council Secretary, Comrade Usman Chiji “on behalf of all members of the Council join all women folk to honour and appreciate the strength, resilience, and achievements of women across the globe and the efforts of women Journalists in Niger state in shaping the society for a better tomorrow.
“From whatever perspective, women remain the vent on which the societal growth, developments and true progress are solidified.
“NUJ celebrates International Women’s Day 2025 and in the most meaningful way send warm messages to all the women who deserve to know how special they are, to us and to humanity.”
