The wife of the Bauchi State Governor, Hajiya Aisha Bala Mohammed, has emphasized the crucial roles women play in shaping families, communities, and nations.
The Bauchi State First Lady made this statement in commemoration of the 2025 International Women’s Day. The message, made available to journalists in Bauchi on Sunday by her Press Secretary, Murjanatu Musa Maidawa, highlighted the significance of women’s contributions to societal growth and development.
Aisha Bala Mohammed extended her heartfelt greetings to women across Bauchi State and beyond, celebrating their resilience, strength, and achievements. She noted that despite various challenges, women continue to rise and make meaningful contributions to progress.
“This day serves as a reminder of the invaluable contributions women make in every aspect of life. From leaders to caregivers, educators to innovators, women are the cornerstone of progress and the driving force behind change in our society,” she stated.

The First Lady also acknowledged the significance of this year’s International Women’s Day theme: “Accelerate Action: Reflecting Our Commitment to Gender Equality.” She emphasized the need for greater inclusion and leadership opportunities for women, particularly in fields such as innovation and technology.
“As a government, we are committed to ensuring that women in Bauchi State have access to education, healthcare, and economic opportunities,” she affirmed.
She further stressed that under the leadership of Governor Bala Mohammed, the administration continues to implement programs that empower women and provide them with the necessary tools to succeed and lead in all spheres of life.
Concluding her message, Aisha Bala Mohammed encouraged women to continue inspiring and uplifting one another, calling for a collective effort to create a future where gender equality is fully realized.
