The whereabouts of Yagba West Council Chairman, Hon. Pius Kolawole, are still unknown following yesterday’s killing of a pension commissioner in the Kogi State Pension board.
The Council Chairman was traveling alongside with the Kogi State Pension Board Commissioner.
Hon. Solomon Akeweje died after being hit by the gunmen bullet, in the same car with the council chairman on Saturday night.
Hon. Akeweje died following the shooting at his vehicle at Eruku some few kilometres to Egbe while returning from Ilorin, Kwara State, at about 8pm.

Meanwhile, Kogi State police spokesman, DSP William Ayah, confirmed the attack.
While speaking with newsmen about the incident, he said the assailants opened fire on Mr Adebayo’s vehicle along the road, killing him on the spot while wounding his driver.
The police said an investigation would be carried out to track and arrest those behind the attack. It was unclear whether the attackers made away with any of the victims’ belongings.
The driver, whose name was not disclosed, was taken to ECWA Hospital, Egbe, alongside others injured in the attack. The slain commissioner’s remains were also deposited.
