THE Independent National Electoral Commission in Nasarawa State has begun to distribute election materials across the 13 local government areas of the state on Wednesday.
The Resident Electoral Commissioner in the state, Uthman Abdulrahaman Ajedagba, was at the state branch Central Bank with some of his officials, monitoring how the materials are being dispatched to various LGA.
Speaking with TribuneOnline, the REC said “as you can see distribution has commenced and we are doing it according to Local Government, we started with Keana and Obi LGA while others will follow.
“We commenced today Wednesday because of the distance of some LGAs. You can see all the party agents also part of the distribution, including the security operatives”.

The REC added that so far the commission is comfortable with the distribution and will continue to doing the right thing to ensure people’s votes count.
Also, Barr. John Matthew, PDP returning agent in the state, expressed satisfaction with the process, saying “it was so far orderly, but the only challenge at hand was the Senatorial results of some Local Government collation sheets which are yet to arrive for this election, we hope when they come, the relevant authority will notify us to do the same thing we are doing now, otherwise, it seems as sinless and orderly”.
On his path, the APC Agent Mohammad Tsarki Fawa said the distribution is perfectly done in a good manner.
“For the past three days, we have been here observing the materials. In fact, all the senatorial and presidential ballot papers are available here and we are satisfied with the distribution”, he said.
