SENATOR representing Lagos Central, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, said on Saturday that she will continue to be a voice for the voiceless and a defender of the cause of the less privileged through Legislative Advocacy, declaring that her life had been about service.
Tinubu said this at a press conference which took place at Bourdillon, Ikoyi where she unveiled her 2019 programme of action tagged: “Blueprint of Progress, My Priority Programmes for 2019- 2023#ARenewedCallToService.”
The Federal lawmaker, who is going for a third term, assured of her commitment to ensuring that Constituency Projects and Intervention Programmes nominated across the senatorial district was duly executed and delivered according to specifications and within the specified period.

Speaking essentially on effective representation, Senator Tinubu expressed the belief that good legislations beget good governance, promising to continue to seek the support of his colleagues to ensure quality legislation, reforms and policies were introduced.
The lawmaker said she was poised to reintroduce the Special Economic Assistance for Lagos as a Megacity and Economic Hub of West Africa, Gender Equity and Equal Opportunities and other relevant Bills and get them passed into law.
“I will also continue to nominate and facilitate meaningful programs and projects into my constituency.
“I intend to strengthen our Micro Level Social Safety Net Programmes by providing interventions on small and medium scale to the most vulnerable and dependent groups in our constituency.
“I plan to introduce the Work Experience Programme (WEP) as an effective approach to building confidence and promoting self- esteem in individuals who have never worked in a formal setting before. The idea is to instil office etiquette and work value to improve employability profile. We will also provide incentives to those who embrace the programme,” she said.
