I am a welder by profession. Although, I should wear the shade for the protection of my face and eyes during welding, I rarely use it because it is inconvenient. Unfortunately, for the last two weeks, my eyes have been red and painful. Although there is no discharge from the eyes, the redness and pain is beginning to affect my sight. Kindly let me know what I can do in order to restore my eyes to their previous healthy condition.

The redness of your eyes is the consequence of exposing your eyes to the harsh and bright lights of your welding torch. This is why it is very important for you to use the face protector during welding. You need to take a break from work for a few days. In addition, using a pair of dark eye glasses to rest your eyes as well as the use of anti-inflammatory eye drops will get your eyes back to normal.
