Investment platform i-invest has officially relaunched as a comprehensive one-stop solution for investing and borrowing, marking a significant upgrade that integrates multiple financial services into a single mobile application.
The platform, which began primarily with Treasury Bills and equities, has now expanded its offerings to include other fixed-income instruments, mutual funds, Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs), and a new Asset-Backed Loans feature.
This transformation aims to serve retail investors and borrowers seeking seamless access to wealth-building tools and credit facilities without navigating multiple platforms.
Speaking at the launch event, Tobi Olusoga, CEO of Parthian Technologies, the company behind i-invest, emphasized that while the product has evolved, the core mission remains unchanged.
“I am a trained accountant, and yet investing felt like a different world,” Olusoga said. “Building wealth should not depend on who you know. That question became the foundation of i-invest.”
She recounted starting her own investment journey with just ₦20,000, which has since grown substantially, using the story to illustrate that consistent investing habits matter more than perfection or large capital. “Wealth creation does not require having all the answers,” she added.
The new i-invest app introduces several user-centric improvements. Jennifer Omame, Head of Products, highlighted the platform’s redesigned interface, faster performance, simplified onboarding, and enhanced security features during her presentation.

“We have completely reimagined the app from the ground up,” Omame stated. “Users can now personalise their dashboard to show fixed-income recommendations, market movers, watchlists, or news that matters to them.”
A notable addition is the four-digit transaction PIN, which provides an extra layer of protection for withdrawals and sensitive transactions. Omame stressed that in over eight years of operation, i-invest has never recorded a fraud incident, describing the new PIN as an enhancement for greater user control.
The most innovative feature is the Asset-Backed Loans product, allowing customers to borrow directly against their eligible fixed-income and equity holdings within the app. This enables investors to seize market opportunities without liquidating positions.
Kole Kuyoro, Chief Technology Officer, assured stakeholders of the platform’s robust technical foundation. “Security and reliability are non-negotiable,” he said. The rebuild incorporates enhanced encryption, stronger authentication, and high-availability infrastructure while maintaining the trust built over years of service.
The upgrade comes at a time when Nigerian retail investors are increasingly seeking diversified opportunities amid economic pressures. By combining investment and lending services, i-invest positions itself as a key player in the country’s growing fintech ecosystem, particularly for middle-class professionals, parents saving for education, entrepreneurs, and members of the diaspora.
Company executives expressed confidence that the new platform will lower barriers to entry for everyday Nigerians while providing advanced tools for seasoned investors. The seamless integration of saving, investing, and borrowing in one secure environment is expected to drive greater financial inclusion.
As i-invest enters this new phase, industry observers see it as a response to evolving customer demands for convenience, speed, and comprehensive financial solutions in one place.
