The Coalition of Pro-Democracy Groups for a Better Nigeria has called for more inclusiveness in the President Bola Tinubu-led administration.
The group, while calling on Nigerians to exercise more patience, especially with the attendance effect of the fuel subsidy, said the present administration has what it takes to reposition the economy of the country.
The national coordinator of the group, Awa Bamiji, posited in a statement that with the present composition of the cabinet, Nigerians should be hopeful that in no time the economy of the country will begin to take shape.
The statement added that the likes of Bamiji and other June 12 activists deserved to be included on the cabinet list, noting their experience that cut across all sectors of the economy.
“Tinubu cannot do it all alone. He needs a think tank that is versed not only in politics but also in economics and other sectors.
“The economy of the country was bastardised before the advent of Tinubu into power, and as a result, people need to exercise patience, noting that it will take time to remedy the situation.
“The economy at present is undergoing a process of reform. There is no doubt that fuel subsidy removal is taking its toll on the masses, but we need to bear the pains in order to enjoy the gains.
“We, as pro-democracy groups, will continue to support the favourable policies of the present administration.”
