The Chairman of the Committee, Comrade Aminu Suleiman, gave the commendation when his committee embarked on an oversight visit to the institution.
According to him, all records of income and expenditures of the institution are intact and detailed.
He also commended the Rector for being a team play who carries all his management staff along in the running of the institution.
The Chairman, applauded the rector for abiding by the principles of federal character by giving consideration to every region in Nigeria during recruitment and admission.
Earlier, the Rector of the Polytechnic, Professor Shettima Abdulkadir, thanked the committee for their visit and informed that the institution has built new structures in the last few years to upgrade its academic standard.
He, however, requested for increased funding to the institution to enable it boost it science and engineering programmes to meet up with its mandate.
