A leader of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Egbeda Local Government area of Oyo state, Alhaji Babatunde Oreitan, was on Wednesday afternoon murdered in his residence by unknown gunmen.
The unidentified gunmen, who pretended to be guests, according to sources waited patiently for the late political leader to complete his 3:00 p.m Solat prayer at his Oremeji house before carrying out the dastardly act.

TribuneOnline gathered that the unwanted visitors thereafter pretended to have come to see the late Oreitan for a community issue as they swooped on him.
Sources further informed TribuneOnline that the assailants, having familiarised themselves with the house, gruesomely murdered Alhaji Oreitan and left without any suspicion.
He was discovered lifeless in his house by a neighbour who noticed hurried movement out of his apartment.
His remains would be buried on Thursday morning according to Islamic rites.
