A group, under the auspices of Benue Community in Lafia (BCL), on Saturday commended the Benue state governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia for appointing Alexander Aondohemba Fanafa, as the Acting General Manager of Benue Links Transport Company.
The group described the appointment as very significant, appropriate and well-deserved saying; “it’s a round peg in a round hole.”
In a statement signed by its leader, Thomas Tor, and made available to Tribune Online in Lafia, the association described Fanafa as a thorough breed transport administrator who would carry out his duties with commitment, competence, fairness and excellence.
Tor said the acting GM demonstrated his capacity to manage any transport company in the world while serving as the manager, Abuja branch of Benue Links.
Tor further said Fanafa has the wealth of experience to ensure that the challenges facing transportation in Benue state are addressed.
He added that “We the Benue Community in Lafia thank God for the gift of Fanafa because with him in the saddle as the general manager of Benue Links, we are sure of better things for the company,” Tor said.
While describing Fanafa’s emergence as a historic landmark, the group expressed optimism that as a thorough breed in the transport sector, the GM would raise the bar in the development of the company, saying he got the job based on his antecedents.
Continuing he asserted: “Based on his pedigree, it is obvious that Fanafa KSM, MNIM, will prove his mettle and that he has the requisite knowledge and orientation to discharge his duties as GM to the satisfaction of all stakeholders involved. He has already hit the ground running because the company has a new face just within the few weeks of his leadership,” Tor asserted.
The leader said with Fanafa in the saddle, and going by his humane disposition, BCL has no doubt that he will use his good office to realize the governor’s vision in Benue Links.
He urged the people of Benue state to cooperate with the governor in other to achieve optimal development.
“There is the need for the people of Benue state and the customers of Benue links across the country to support the governor, Very Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia to take Benue to the promised land,” he concluded.
