AHEAD of the February 16, Presidential election, the ‘Forward with Buhari’, a political group has embarked on a door to door campaign in Kaduna, canvassing for the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari.
The National Deputy Chairman (North), of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Â Senator Lawali Shaibu said in Kaduna on Thursday that the idea was influenced by brain cracking to ensure that Buhari comes out victorious in the forthcoming elections.
He made the assertion during a courtesy visit to Mallam Nasir Ahmed El-rufai at Sir Kashim House in Kaduna on Thursday, where he said that Buhari led administration deserves a second term judging by his performances in all sectors.
While speaking he said: ” in the history of governance in Nigeria, APC, under President Buhari has done tremendously well in all the six geo-political zones.
“Buhari’s laudable projects had direct bearing on the lives of people in the country”.
He explained that their support was based on the president’s numerous achievements, saying that without any doubt the President will floor his opponents based on the support of Nigerians.

“Buhari’s re-election would ensure continuity in the positive affairs of the nation.
On the strength of the group to garner support for the President and other candidates of the party, he noted that the group ( Forward with Buhari) has Grassroots Mobilizers, Goodwill Ambassadors and Foot Soldiers across the country.
” What we are doing in Kaduna today is to add value to what the President has come to do when he visited the state for his rally sometimes ago, and with what we are seeing Kaduna seems to be a state that will give good number of votes to Mr President in the coming elections.
“Throughout our campaign in Kaduna, we are going to ensure that there is no use of hate speeches”, Senator Shaibu said.
According to him, the need for a second term was in order to also sustain the ongoing war against corruption and effective management of Nigeria’s resources.
While responding to the group, the governor, Mallam Nasir El-rufai said in Kaduna state, no doubt that the Buhari will win with wide margin.
“Kaduna is the home town of the President. It is through that the president is from Katsina State, but he is more of Kaduna state.
” Kaduna is more passionate about returning the president “, El-rufai said.
While lauding the efforts of the group, he urged them to consolidate on what the party has done in terms of canvassing for votes in the coming elections.
