In what is turning out to be a fierce showdown artist capturing the attention of music enthusiasts worldwide, Grammy Award-winning artiste Burna Boy and his Afrobeat counterpart, Davido are gearing up to vie for the nominations at the 2024 Grammy Awards.

Information pieced together by R revealed that Burna Boy is poised for a showdown with his submission of the hit single “City Boys” for the Awards.

The Nigerian superstar has told his team that he’s eyeing multiple Grammy categories, including ‘Song of the Year,’ ‘Record of the Year,’ and ‘African Performance.’

Burna Boy confirmed that he is aiming to leave an indelible mark on the global music scenes again in the coming year and is ready for colleagues gunning for the awards with him.

Meanwhile, Davido, on the other hand, has his sights set on Grammy glory as well. It was learnt that Davido submitted his album “Timeless” for consideration at the 2024 Grammy Awards.

It was observed that Davido is counting big on the album, vying for the prestigious ‘Album of the Year’ and ‘Best Global Music Album’ categories.

The Afrobeat heavyweight is no stranger to international recognition and is eager to add a Grammy to his ever-growing list of accolades.

The competition between the two music stars is heating up, and fans on social media platforms have indicated that they couldn’t wait to see who will secure nominations when the official list is announced in a matter of weeks.

Both Burna Boy and Davido are riding high on their musical journeys in 2023, and a Grammy win would undoubtedly be a crowning achievement for either of them.
