Governor Mohammed appoints new HoS

Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has approved with immediate effect, the appointment of Alhaji Ahmed Abubakar Ma’aji Misau as the Acting Head of Civil Service of the state.

The appointment was contained in a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Mohammed Sabi’u Baba indicating that until his appointment, the appointed Acting Head of Service was the most Senior Permanent Secretary in the State Civil Service.

The statement explained that Alhaji Ahmed Abubakar joined the service of the State Government on 30th September 1985 and he was appointed as Permanent Secretary on 27th June 2016.

Though no reason was given for the development, checks revealed that the former HoS, Nasiru Yalwa who was appointed a few months ago has retired from service.

All efforts to get more details proved abortive as all the top government officials contacted declined comments on the issue, while efforts to get the former HoS, Nasiru Yalwa did not yield positive result as his phone was switched off when our correspondent tried to put a call to him.
