Governor Abiodun urged to revitalise Ogun economy

Following the hardship experienced in the country, Governor Dapo Abiodun has been urged to stimulate and revitalise the Ogun State economy.

This advice was handed down by a socio-economic and community development advocate and President of the Gbenga Akinwande Foundation, Mr Gbenga Akinwande while unveiling five pedestrians crossings executed by the foundation in Ayetoro.

Akinwande said doing this, will address the prevailing harsh economic situation in the state and assuage the bitter experiences of the electorate who are hard hit by the hardship.

He stressed that the fundamentals of Nigeria’s democracy is in danger due to hunger and socio-economic challenges confronting the nation.

He further urged Governor Abiodun to task the newly elected local government chairmen in the state “to lubricate and stimulate our local councils with direct labour jobs. These jobs range from sweepers, gardeners, cleaners, labourers.

“It is necessary to act swiftly by introducing economic stimuli to bring back prosperity to our people and communities. Hence, I will recommend appropriate financing & autonomy of the local government administration to allow for rural-integrated development which was last witnessed during the leadership of Otunba Gbenga Gbenga Daniel.”
