Governor Sani Bello, in a letter he personally presented to the Speaker of the state house of Assembly, Hon Ahmed Marafa Guni dated 14th November, 2017 titled GHNS/S/208. He urged for speedy confirmation of the nominees.
The letter stated in parts “in line with section 192(2) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 (as amended), I am hereby forwarding the attached list of Eighteen (18) Commissioner Nominees for confirmation by the Honourable House”.
A critical look into the list of the Commissioner Designate included contained eight of the recently sacked Commissioners were Hajiya Ramatu Yar’adua, former Commissioner for Commerce and Investments Hajiya Ramatu Mohammed Yar’ adua , former Commissioner for Health and Hospital services, Dr Jibrin Mustapha, Mammam Musa, Ibrahim Balarabe , former Commissioner of Education , Science and Technology , Hajiya Fatima Madugu, former Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs , Hon Zakari Haliru Jikantoro, former Commissioner for Justice and the State Attorney General, Mallam Nasara Dan- Malam and former Commissioner for Youths and Sports, Jon. Kabiru Abbas Musa.
The newly appointed Commissioners designates are: Idris Jibrin Amin, Zakari Bawa, Zakari Abubakar, Engr Ibrahim Muhammad Panti, Engr Umar Muhammad Tagagi, Bar Amina Musa Gu’ ar, Ismaila Ibrahim. Alhaji Danjuma Sallau, Hon. Isah M. Kanko and George Sabo Koce.
