Founders’ Table hosts business leaders for candid entrepreneurial dialogue in Ibadan

Ibadan played host to a gathering of leading entrepreneurs at the maiden edition of The Founders’ Table, a private roundtable designed to promote honest conversations and collaborative learning among business owners.

The event, convened by Efunkoya Johnson, CEO of ILEOJA Group, brought together founders and executives from sectors including technology, e-commerce, real estate, travel, and wellness. Notable attendees included Engr. Fola Oyedeji of EVC Nigeria Ltd and Segun Afolarin of Segrita Travels.

In his remarks, Efunkoya said the initiative was created to bridge the gap between everyday entrepreneurial challenges and the often-filtered success stories seen in public.

“When founders connect, ideas grow and nations are built.”

The Founders’ Table said the programme will continue as a platform where entrepreneurs connect, learn, and build solutions collectively.

The meeting featured candid exchanges on business failures, personal struggles, major turning points and the lessons entrepreneurs often navigate in silence.

Some of the day’s notable remarks included Seun Ogundele’s statement: “When you need something badly, you go hard for it,” and Engineer Oyedeji’s advice to “separate emotions from business.”

Participants also shared personal growth stories. One founder recounted rising from a harsh financial background to leading a company because “there was no other choice.”

Another narrated expanding from a single office shared with a secretary to operating more than 16 office spaces across Nigeria and Ghana.

The session also produced potential collaboration opportunities, including cross-industry referrals, shared digital tools, joint marketing plans, and mentorship exchanges among founders.
