Fire outbreak at Warri refinery contained –NNPC

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company, NNPC Limited, has confirmed a fire incident at the Warri Refinery and Petrochemical Company Limited in Delta State, South-South Nigeria.

The management of NNPC confirmed the fire situation in a press statement released on their official X handle on Friday, 20 October 2023. 

The statement explained that the fire incident would not affect the ongoing rehabilitation of the refinery.

The statement also assured that the company would adhere to the best safety standards in all its operations.
