The institution has been suffering from this since the unpaid salaries of the lecturers in 2016 both by Oyo and Osun states. One of the problems that LAUTECH has is occasional irresponsibility of her parent states.
The university is only growing in age but not in expectation not because it lacks qualified academic and non-academic staff nor because the students are not willing to study but the two parent states: Osun and Oyo have not been living up to expectations.
This has led to countless crises with the students as victims; dashing their hopes, their parents’ plans and that of other stakeholders. The future of the students is at stake; I appeal to the Federal Government to intervene in the school crises.
