FCTA to boost industrialisation, entrepreneurship ― Minister

Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Malam Muhammad Musa Bello

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Malam Muhammad Bello said on Friday that his administration would promote economic activities and industrialisation to generate employment for the residents of the Territory.

Bello stated this in Abuja while receiving the Musiad Group of Turkey, Nigeria Chapter, led by its President, Mr Huseyin Oztunc, in his office.

The minister said his administration would promote efforts aimed at wooing genuine investors to establish industries in the FCT.

He said that such action would promote economic activities, boost entrepreneurship and generate employment for the FCT residents.

According to him, the administration will always do anything to enhance entrepreneurship development that will have multiplier effects on the populace.

“The FCT administration would help strengthen bilateral relationships that would promote entrepreneurship development,” he added.

Bello called on the team to set up a technical group to meet with the officials of the Abuja Investment Company Limited to fine-tune better ways of collaboration.

“The Musiad Group may also wish to visit the location of the Abuja Technology Village where enormous infrastructure has been provided to see where some of their members with Information Technology expertise can key in,” he said.

Bello urged the group to look into the possibility of developing and managing a recreational park in Abuja in the form of a ‘Nigeria–Turkish Friendship Park’ to strengthen the existing bilateral relationship between both countries.

The minister thus promised to make available a suitable location in the Federal Capital City for that purpose.

Earlier, the President of the group, Mr Huseyin Oztunc appreciated the warm reception accorded his delegation.

Oztunc noted that Musiad Group was established in Turkey in 1990 with branches in 82 countries, 45,000 member companies and 1.6 million persons in its labour force.
