‘Our expectations in the New Year ’

Hafeez Oyetoro (a.k.a Saka):

Nigeria has not got it right and it is very sad.

The issue of petrol is another major problem Nigerians are currently battling with in a country that has enormous natural resources.

I hope that Nigeria will get it right as we go into the New Year and I pray the people will be happy because the truth is that Nigerians are not happy unless we don’t want to be truthful with ourselves.

 

Saidi Balogun:

I have tried not to be too expectant in the New Year.

I take everyday as a new opportunity to be better than the previous day.

I don’t rule out the fact that one has to be positive about the New Year and what to expect from it.

Right now, what we have experienced in the last two years as a people has not been encouraging and I believe we have to brace up for what the New Year will bring.

The government needs to create palliative measures that will cushion the effect of these hard times.

 

Gbenga Adeyinka:

It is a new year and I am very excited about the good things the year will bring for me, work and family.

I am already working ahead to make the year count for my job and I pray that life will be easy for everybody working diligently to earn a living.

I wish Nigerians and the rest of Africa a prosperous new year.

 

 

Vector:

We are starting from where we end next year. If you are asking me about what to expect from the leadership of the country, I will tell you to keep working hard and don’t expect much from the government. I will only concentrate on my work and put in more efforts. I pray Nigeria gets it better next year and prosper its people.

 

Olamide:

For me, it is music and more music. Next year, Nigerians will see another side of Olamide that will even be bigger than what they witnessed in 2017. I am not slowing down a bit and OLIC 5 in 2018 will be like a movie. Nigerians should just watch out for me. I am coming with magic next year.

 

Harrysong: 2017 has been a blessing for me and my family. I feel very proud of what I have achieved and I am already looking forward to the new year with a bigger picture in mind. Despite some of the challenges that attempted  to kill my joy, God came through for me. I floated my record label and people showed me they love my brand. So, in 2018, I hope Nigeria will be greater and better.

 

Sean Tizzle: Music gives me so much joy and I am going to keep doing it. My career did not really take the shape that I wanted in 2017 but, I am still grateful to God for the good things I achieved in the outgoing year. In the new year, life continues and we hope for the best in all ramifications.

 

Funke Adesiyan: We will continue to hope for the best for the people of Nigeria. Life was quite hard in 2017 for majority of Nigerians who could not afford meals three times in a day. We want Nigeria to be better for our business. We want to be able to do our jobs in a very conducive environment. I wish our leaders well.

 

Ayuba:

We hope for a better condition of living for Nigerians. We hope that things will be better.

 

Tolulope Oloruntoba

2017 indeed has been a fruitful year for me. I have every reason to thank God, because my career experienced a lift and I achieved my greatest goal in the outgoing year. As a gospel artiste, I am more concerned about the situation of the country. I hope for a better change and I want to be part of the new chapter of the country. I have a lot of plans mapped out for the incoming year. In 2018, I will be more involved in outreach and programmes that will impact people’s lives positively. According to my recently released album, My Time Has Come, I am confident that the New Year is my year and I want people to tap from the inspirational song because I believe we all have a specific time to shine. I see Nigeria in a new glory and the time is near.

It has really been a busy year for me; travelling from one country to the other and putting some works together. I have never been a lazy musician and I am not relenting as the New Year approaches. My greatest joy is to see the industry grow beyond its peers in Africa and the entire world. We are already achieving this and I am delighted to be part of this development. Also, our joy is that the country is feeling our impact; we hope we continue to make more positive impact, because this is our country. I also, pray that 2018 will be fruitful than the outgoing year.

The situation in the country is not our platform of operation. We operate under the open heaven of God, which is far above the economic situation of any country of the world. Christmas and New Year celebration is expression of God’s love for mankind. Love is what we share and that is what we intend to achieve this season. I am grateful for what God has done for me this year. In fact, I cannot tell it all. I came into the year as a bachelor, I am coming out of it a married man. I am optimistic for greater things in the incoming year and I trust God that I will achieve them all.

The period is never a dull moment for me, because I plan well for it; I enjoy myself while the celebration lasts. I feel it is ideal for me to have fun this time, because 2017 has been a busy year for me. I thank God for giving me various opportunities to boost my career. I want to use this opportunity to wish all a prosperous new year.
