The Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu has been called upon to fished out the killer of the leader of Afenifere, Pa Reuben Fasoranti daughter’s Mrs Funke Olakunrin was killed on Friday along the Kajola-Ore Road in Ondo State.
The former Minister of Police, Alhaji Abdul Jelili Adesiyan said it is necessary for IGP to bring the killers of Olakunrin to book.
In a statement released and signed by himself, he condoled with Fasoranti saying the Yoruba nation has lost a great pillar of womanhood.
The statement read: “I enjoin the Inspector General of Police to leave no stone unturned to find the killer as soon as possible.
“It is with deep sadness, that I receive the sudden death of our amiable friend and inspirational woman, Mrs Funke Olakurin, the daughter of our leader Chief Fasoranti. This is death too many for the entire Yoruba Nation.

“I recall the way Mrs Olakurin shared in our travails in Agodi Prison when we were incarcerated over the trump charge in the murder of Chief Bola Ige, she was one of our earliest caller believing in our innocence and gave us inspiration that ours is a political gang up. A great woman of uncommon knowledge, a lawyer and astute banker, an Amazon of Yoruba race.
“I commiserate with our Papa Chief Fasoranti over this irreparable loss of a great promising woman. It is only God who can comfort you at this dark hours. My sympathy goes to all she left behind and I pray to God to give all of you fortitude to bear this loss.
“My prayer is for Baba at this age of 94 is for God to strengthen you as He did strengthened Prophet Muhammad and Pa Obafemi Awolowo when we lost both of them and their sons,” he said.
