The Esan Muslims Community (EMC) in Benin City, an indigenous Muslim group made up of the Esan people, says it looks forward to collaborating with the newly sworn-in Edo Governor, Sen. Monday Okpebholo, and his team as they strive to establish supportive policies and programs that will enhance the economic and social well-being of all Edo people.
In a statement jointly signed by Alh. Shaibu Elimihele and Alh. Suleman Ikhuoriah (PhD), Chairman and Assistant Secretary, respectively, the Esan Muslims group wished the governor and his deputy a successful tenure and prayed that Allah (SWT) grants them and their team the wisdom, knowledge, strength, and understanding to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people of Edo State.

The group thanked the governor for the appointment of Barr. Umar Musa Ikhilor as the Secretary to the State Government and wished the governor a successful tenure in office.
The statement read in part: “We congratulate our Governor and his Deputy on this auspicious occasion of their swearing-in as the Executive Governor and Deputy Governor of Edo State, His Excellency Senator Monday Okpebholo and Hon. Dennis Idahosa.
“We wish you a successful tenure and pray that Allah (SWT) grants you and your team the wisdom, knowledge, strength, and understanding to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people of Edo State.
“We look forward to collaborating with you and your team as you work to establish supportive policies and programs that will enhance the economic and social well-being of all Edo people,” the EMC concluded.
