Eight burnt to death in Ogun tanker accident

 NO fewer than eight people lost their lives in a tanker accident at Onigari village, near Foursquare Camp along the Lagos/Ibadan Expressway, on Tuesday.The victims were said to have been burnt beyond recognition when a loaded fuel tanker was hit by a container-laden truck and the tanker burst into fire.

The Public Relations Officer, Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps, Babatunde Akinbiyi, said the
tanker caught fire when the truck hit the
tanker by the side, while the petrol inside it gushed out before resulting in the fire.

He said, “Eight persons have been confirmed dead in the inferno, they were roasted beyond recognition.

“The victims were those passengers in a container attached to the truck.”
