The Nigeria Security And Civil Defence Corps, Kano Command, has approved the deployment of 1,750 personnel to provide security at various Eid grounds, palaces, monuments, events and recreational centres across the state.
This was just as the agency said that all arrangements have been concluded ahead of the upcoming Eid-el Kabir celebrations.
This was disclosed in a statement by DSC Ibrahim Idris Abdullahi, CDPRO, Kano command.
The statement said the State Commandant, Commandant Abu Abdu Tambuwal, said that ”The NSCDC has been expanding its intelligence network with a view to nip in the bud of any security threat in the state during the festive period.
According to him, “the Corps is on alert and poised to deal decisively with miscreants/thugs who might, unfortunately, wish to foment trouble and disrupt public peace in whatever guise before, during after Sallah.”
”The general public are to be calm as all efforts are being made by the Corps and indeed all the security agencies for a hitch-free 2021 Eid-el Kabir celebrations in Kano.”
