The push and pull factors of educational tourism has facilitated a synergy of collaboration between the Lead City University and Payporte. com.

The facilitation was publicly inaugurated on Friday last week during the Poise Class 2017 Dinner and Award Nite organised by the management of Lead City University in honour of the graduating students of the department.

The Poise Dinner according to Dr Ayobami Owolabi , Director, Public Communication and Students Affairs revealed that Poise Dinner ‘is an annual social platform inaugurated by the school in order to resensitise and remind the graduating students  the social values , ethics, norms  and plausible  behavioural patterns which they have  imbibed in the school which they should exhibit outside the school”.

He revealed “being a Poise Ambassador behoves on each student not only to be elegant in their words a, deeds and acts but also to be elegant in whatever they do and wherever they are. This is one of the few values which have set Lead City apart from the others”

Dr Owolabi said that ‘one of the achievements of the Poise Class this year is the Eductour empowerment interest in Poise Class by the Payporte.com which would be inaugurated today by Payporte President  in conjunction with the management of Lead City University. The scheme will go a long way of injecting business confidence and economic viability in the graduating students and their existential vision”

In his response, Mr Bassey Eyo, Chief Executive Officer, Payporte.com commended the school for ‘inaugurating such a dignified Dinner and award events where graduating students are mobilised psychologically and mentally honed to think of being business—oriented and independent endeavour. This is a benchmark of excellence for this university”

Mr Eyo revealed that Payporte  was attracted to the university by its strides in education tourism particularly the school’s drive at ensuring that whoever pass through its four walls cannot passed out empty handed without having a proficiency in one vocation or the other.

He affirmed that, while Payporte was committed to promote the Eductour programme of the school, it would also contribute to the vocational empowerment of the students.

Living up to this commitment, Mr Eyo announced the inauguration of a 5 million naira employment scheme for students of the school and immediately awarded some students an empowerment grant of N250,000, N200,000 and N100,000 each.

The P2017 poise Dinner and Award Night attracted the presence of the chairman of the institution, Professor Jide Owoeye who presented the distinguished personality award to Mr Eyo, the acting Vice – Chancellor, Professor I.
