In its bid to enhance the productivity and leadership skills of government officials, an educationist and founder of Ecolerite Institute of Peace Advancement, Dr Kazeem Akande, has organised a free seminar on peace, leadership, and strategy for prospective councillors in Ido Local Government of Oyo State.
The seminar recently held in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital is meant to train the prospective councillors on insights of policy formulation and implementation.
Also present at the seminar were student leaders, community leaders, and Rotarians.
Speaking with newsmen the educationist noted that the training was borne out of his desire to ensure that local lawmakers and stakeholders understand the rudiments of leadership especially in peacebuilding and conflict management.
Akande stated that the major problem the legislative arm has at every level is a lack of adequate knowledge in policy formulation and implementation.
