THE Edo State chairman of the Committee of Registered Political Parties (CRPP), Dr Samson Isibor has slammed the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Adams Oshiomhole for imposing his relatives in key positions both at the state and national levels.
Seidu Aliyu Oshiomhole, a younger brother, is the House of Assembly candidate for Etsako West 11 State Constituency.
While his, younger brother, Mr Seidu Oshiomhole is the APC candidate for Etsako West 11/constituency in the Edo State House of Assembly for the 2019 election, another younger brother, Rilwan Oshiomhole is currently the chairman of Edo State Oil Producing Development Commission (EDSOPEDEC), a position which was occupied by Mr Abbas Yakubu, a nehpew who was a Commissioner in (EDSOPEDEC) during Oshiomhole’s time as governor is presently the Secretary to Etsako West Local Government, a nephew.
The ex-governor’s son, Dr Cyril Adams Oshiomhole attempted running for the bye-election in Etsako Federal Constituency when Mr Phillip Shaibu won as deputy governor to Obaseki in September 2016 while another relative, Mr Romeo Onaikhe, his maternal cousin was Chairman of Edo State Produce Board when he was governor and is currently an aide as APC chairman.

Isibor who spoke in Benin yesterday said that Oshiomhole does not have the moral justification for criticising IMO state Governor Rocha’s Okorocha whom he labelled an emperor for imposing his close relatives in elective positions in Imo.
He said that it was the peak of hypocrisy for Oshiomhole to criticise Okorocha when himself has turned to a thin god in his native Etsako and Edo state where his relatives hold juicy appointments due to his over domineering attitude.
Isibor said’: “Between Oshiomhole and Okorocha, I am at a loss as regards who is a mightier emperor. From his son attempting to run for the Etsako Federal Constituency to his brother running as a lawmaker in Etsakp West Constituency to urging his son to run for House of Representatives and close relatives being given juicy appointments, it is clear that Oshiomhole is the real emperor.”
The CRPP chairman said that the antics of the ex-governor amounted to a case of the pot calling the kettle black, maintaining that as an hypocrite, the APC national chairman lacked the moral justification to condemn the embattled Imo state governor.
He said: “It is immoral for Oshiomhole to impose his relatives here in Edo state while criticising Okorocha in Imo. We are not in a banana republic. APC must investigate Oshiomhole for imposing his family members into the electoral system and appointments. He has no moral justification for criticising Okorocha. Here in Edo, he has done the worst thing.
