The All Progressives Congress Party, (APC), Ovia North East branch has deplored the continued refusal of the two House of Assembly members-elect for the local government area, Vincent Uwadiae and Dumez Ugiagbe to present themselves to be sworn in as lawmakers, four months after the inauguration by Governor Godwin Obaseki.
At an enlarged meeting on yesterday by the party members across the 13 wards in the local government area, the party stalwarts issued an ultimatum to the two legislators elect to resume plenary latest October 21.
The members noted that the absence of the two representatives has created a vacuum in the development of the local council.
They ordered the two members-elect, to resume plenary next Monday, October 21, 2019, without fail, to avoid consequential actions by the party.

Addressing members, the chairman, Ambassador Etinosa Ighodaro said the party had earlier sent letters to the two members elected to explain their refusal to be sworn in all to no avail.
According to Ighodaro, the absence of the two members has affected the representation of Ovia North East council.
He said: “Ovia North East no longer has anyone to present their matter before the House. Other Constituencies are being represented by their honourable members who were elected the same time with our own.”
He queried: “What offence have Ovia North East committed that they will not have members representing them in the House?”
Ighodaro added: “We call on our members elect to immediately present themselves for swearing in the House.
“We cannot afford to lose out in the present developmental stride of the States government.”
