SECURITY operatives on Monday arrested former Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party in Kaduna State, Alhaji Yaro Makama Rigachikun.
His arrest was coming 72-hours after the PDP campaign spokesman in the state, Mr Ben Bako was arrested by operatives of the Department of State Service on Saturday night for allegedly promoting hate speech.
Bako, a former Information Commissioner, was taken to Abuja, according to the Deputy Director General of the Ashiru/Katung Campaign Council, Mr Danjuma Bello-Sarki.
The pioneer chairman of the PDP, believed to be a grassroots mobilizer in the state, was said to have been whisked away by men of the DSS.

Rigachikun was one of the forces behind the All Progressives Congress’s electoral victory party in the state in 2015.
Though details of the arrest were still sketchy as of the time of filing this report, the PDP’s Publicity Secretary, Abraham Catoh, confirmed the arrest.
Catoh said the party chieftain was arrested by the operatives of the DSS, saying that the reason for the arrest was not known.
“Yes, he(Rigachikun) was arrested about 3 hours ago(12 pm) by the DSS and his whereabouts is still unknown,” he said.
The reason for Rigacjikun’s arrest was not made known yet, but it was gathered that it was not unconnected with an alleged inciting comment made at a recent rally by the politician.
