Joseph Akakpor, popularly known as Pronto SZN (pronounced as season), the founder and acting chief digital strategist at SZN AFRICA, set up this initiative as a platform where truly gifted artistes can be discovered and be exposed to a whole new and broader audience for FREE. Not every talented African artiste is eligible to receive support on this platform, however there can be some exceptions to the rules for the rarest of truly gifted individuals, generally in order to be eligible for the SZN AFRICA ARTISTE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM, one must meet the following requirements:
In a statement by the founder, Joseph Akakpor, he said, Artistes must have worked with SZN AFRICA in any capacity from music marketing and content creation services to event planning activities and more Artistes must be following SZN AFRICA on at least one social media platform, @sznafrica. Contents submitted by artistes and management must be of the highest quality to preserve the credibility of the platform.
He urged Future superstars to keep sending in entries and if they meet the requirements, they’ll will be initiated into the programme and each artiste gets to send a maximum of 2 entries so one of them can be selected and uploaded on the SZN AFRICA platform.
“We are currently strategizing plans to provide free distribution and a marketing deal with a substantial budget to as many truly gifted artistes as possible who’ve participated in our programme. Therefore, we call on the general population I.e sponsors, donors, music lovers, business giants, brand owners and more for support either financially or by extending their platform and reach to us to further increase publicity for our initiative as there are soo many gifted Africans worldwide who are not even aware of these opportunities.”
