DIGITAL Parks Africa (DPA), the data centre business in association with the Master Power Technologies Group, is expanding into West Africa with the development of a new carrier-neutral data centre in Lagos, Nigeria. This move strengthens DPA’s investment in the digital infrastructure needed to support Africa’s growing connected economy.
Nigeria Data Centre 1 (NDC1) is part of the DPA portfolio and is developed for a market where businesses, Financial Institutions, Banking sector, cloud providers, and connectivity providers require infrastructure that is ultra-reliable, resilient, flexible and geographically close to the markets they serve.

The investment provides businesses with a stronger and more resilient platform to support ultra-critical digital services, cloud access, connectivity, and data-driven services as demand continues to increase. NDC1 marks an important evolution in the Group’slongstanding presence in Nigeria, which dates back to 2001, and signals the next phase of that commitment: extending from the Group’s established power and technical expertise into data centre services. The announcement was officially made at ITW Africa in Kenya on 8 September 2026.
Menno Parsons, Digital ParksAfrica’s founder and CEO, says the new development reflects a long-term commitment to Nigeria and the wider African digital economy.

“Our investment in Nigeria is much more than a new facility. It is the next step in our longstanding commitment to the region and for our broader vision for Africa’s digital future.
Over the last two decades operating in Nigeria, we have a clear understanding of the market and of the need for infrastructure that can keep pace with businesses and the growing digital ecosystem. Through NDC1, we are building on that foundation and strengthening our ability to enable an increasingly connected African economy.”
Nigeria’s growing technology economy is being driven by demand for financial & cloud services, digital platforms, connectivity, and data-intensive business operations.
That growth is increasing the need for local data centre capacity that can support performance, resilience and choice.
