The Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Honourable Abike Dabiri-Erewa, on Thursday, received the Baameeko of Ibadanland and a governorship aspirant under the banner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, Chief Saheed Oladele, who paid her a courtesy visit at the NIDCOM headquarters in Abuja.
Details of the meeting between the two were not disclosed.
Oladele had earlier in the week paid a similar visit to the national chairman of APC, Dr Umar Abdullahi Ganduje, a move which political watchers saw as a boost to the entrepreneur’s aspiration to become Oyo State governor in 2027.
Meanwhile, Oladele has felicitated elder statesman and former national chairman of the APC, Chief Bisi Akande, on his 86th birthday.
The governorship hopeful described Chief Akande as an epitome of integrity and selfless service, from whom he had drawn “impeccable inspirations.”
He stated that the former governor of Osun State had left an indelible mark of honour in his private and public life.
While praying for long life and renewed health for Chief Akande, Oladele urged him to continue to render his wise counsel for the continued growth and development of Nigeria.
