He alleged that the defendant, Alhaji Lamidi, was handcuffed and deprived of his legal representation rights during the recording of his video statement.
This statement was made in response to a video evidence obtained by the prosecuting witness, Inspector Felix Adegoke, which was presented as an exhibit.
However, Inspector Adegoke denied the allegations, insisting that no such act occurred during the statement recording.
After hearing the defense counsel’s cross-examination, Justice Bayo Taiwo ordered the viewing of the video evidence submitted by the prosecution.
The trial was then adjourned to tomorrow, March 27, 2025.
