Coughing out blood

A cousin of mine who is currently living with me coughed out blood for some days. Kindly let me know if this is a very serious problem.

Cough which is productive of blood can be due to many conditions ranging from Tuberculosis to Cancer. It is therefore important that such a person as you have described needs to see a doctor urgently.
