The Chairman of Dardolips Information Global Technology, Mr Damilare Abioro, has expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the Customs Area Controller of Ogun 1 Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Mohammed Salisu Shuaibu, over the peaceful co-existence between youths and Customs officials in the border communities in Ogun.

According to him, there is drastic reduction in the cases of clashes between the operatives of the anti-smuggling agency and suspected smugglers.

Abioro, who expressed his appreciation during the visit to the Idiroko base of the Command, described the development as commendable.

Mr Abioro explained that Controller Shuaibu has been implementing friendly policies and programmes towards integrating the stakeholders, especially the youths.

He added that the cordial relationship and the peaceful atmosphere being witnessed in the border communities has resulted into economic development in the area.

“Our joy knows no bounds, not only for the peaceful atmosphere in our area but also for officially recognising youths as part of the Customs family.

“We can now proudly identify with your policies of inclusiveness in the scheme of administration as the head of the Customs command in the border communities which has resulted into economic development in the area.

“We are bold to assure your leadership of our unshaken loyalty at all times and we are determined to ensure that our people continue in engaging in lawful economic activities as partner in progress, knowing fully well that we will continue to benefit from this relationship,” Abioro said.

Mr. Abioro also asked the Customs leadership to always give their support to the residents in the areas who are engaging in legitimate businesses while the embargo on the sale of petroleum products in the filling stations located near the border be lifted.

Abioro commended the leadership of the Customs command for the warm reception and assured that every youth in the axis with genuine business ideas will be given the needed support towards realising their ambition.
