Connive with criminals, get sacked, Gov Mohammed warns Bauchi traditional rulers

Traditional rulers in Bauchi State have been warned not allow criminals perpetrate crimes in their respective domains or be ready to be sacked just as they were advised to join hands with government in fighting crimes and criminality.
The warning was given by the State Governor, Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed while receiving members of the State Council of Traditional Rulers led by the Emir of Bauchi, Alhaji Rilwanu Sulaiman Adamu who is the Chairman of the Council at the Council Chambers of the Government House, Bauchi.
Bala Mohammed said that his administration will not tolerate involvement of traditional rulers in aiding and abetting criminal activities which will disrupt the peace and stability of the state for their selfish gains as anyone caught will be dealt with according to the laws of the land.
The Governor however pledged to support the traditional institution in the state in the maintenance of peace and security in the society cautioning them against harbouring criminals in their domains and called on them to enlightened their subjects against sale of lands to strangers especially in Alkaleri LGA and environs were hydro carbon and gas was recently found.
Earlier, the Emir of Bauchi, Alhaji Rilwanu Sulaiman Adamu said that the visit was to commend the Governor on some of his giant strides in terms of people oriented programs and projects so far embarked upon by his administration as well as to congratulate him on his recent victory at the Election Petition tribunal.
Rilwanu Sulaiman Adamu while  acknowledging the achievements  recorded by the Governor in the areas of Health, Education, Security and road projects as well as youth and women empowerment, reassured the Governor of their support to his Administration.
