A hunter, Mr Joseph Adeyemi, has been detained by the police in Ekiti State for allegedly shooting two of his colleagues during an expedition.
Sources alleged that Adeyemi had shot the duo of Bayo Oyegoke and Stephen Arise, when they went for group hunting in one of the communities in Ikole Local Government Area of the state.
According to the sources, the group of local hunters had gone hunting at a location in Otunja community on Thursday when the incidence occurred.
It was also gathered that Oyegoke had allegedly died while still at the scene of the incident, Aroso was said to have been injured.
The public relations officer of the EKiti State police command, Mr Alberto Adeyemi, confirmed the incident and said that the suspect had been arrested.
Adeyemi said “the suspect who shot at fellow hunters has been arrested and investigation is going on now.”
